Senior Dental Assistant
Teachers Health Fund has a fantastic opportunity for someone to take on the role of Senior Dental Assistant. Commencing in February 2013, this is a new full time role as we add dental facilities to our thriving optical business.
Working closely with the senior Dentist, you will gain experience working across the entire spectrum of dentistry including procedures such as bone grafting, dental implants, surgical removal of wisdom teeth and full oral rehabilitations. Ideally you will have experience in these areas or the capacity to learn them quickly as the thriving center continues to grow.
You will also:
- have four years+ Dental Assistant experience.
- have relevant qualifications that are recognised in Australia.
- have high level knowledge of Infection Control.
- have high level experience using Oasis.
- be available to work alternate Saturdays.
- be committed, punctual and reliable.
*Dental Receptionist Skills are also desirable
You will also need to possess, or be able to acquire skills in impression taking, model trimming and basic laboratory work, preparation of surgical set-ups, grafts and patient medications, including familiarising patients with pre and post operative instructions. As the team continues to grow you will take responsibility for coordinating the nursing support for the center.
