Optometrist – Hamilton, Newcastle
This is a rare and rewarding role for an individual with unbelievable people skills!
Operating in a niche area of the health insurance and optical markets Teachers Health has a strong (and still growing!) presence in our focus market, but has retained the friendly and welcoming culture more typical of a small company. Teachers Eyecare are looking to grow our Optical team in our beautifully refurbished retail and clinical premises in Hamilton, Newcastle and are thus offering an outstanding career opportunity for a personable and committed professional.
You will work closely with an energetic Optical and Dental team, including two experienced Optical Dispensers. Your working week will be 5 days per week (37.5hrs), Monday to Saturday with 2-3 Saturdays per month; no Thursday nights or Sundays! As our ideal candidate, you will have an instinctive ability to tailor your communication style dependent on your audience, and a real passion for understanding your patients.
- Would you like to work with state of the art equipment, including OCT, retinal camera, autorefractor and FDT?
- Is your motto to always offer excellence in patient care?
- Would you like to deal with contacts from the education industry and related fields?
If you can answer yes to all of the above, and also bring a high level of optometric care and a seriously solid work ethic, we want to hear from you!
As an employer of choice you will be rewarded with a competitive package, professional development, travel opportunities plus 6-weeks annual leave if you are the right candidate.
Applications must contain a cover letter and up-to-date CV. Successful applicants will be promptly contacted.
