Are you the professional we’re looking for who is capable of delivering customer retention strategy to our Teachers across Australia?
Teachers Health Fund is the fund created exclusively for the education community, to provide value for money health insurance for teachers and their families. We’re a successful, strong and growing organisation which has managed to retain a friendly, welcoming culture more typical of a small company.
Our Retention Marketing Specialist will work amongst our supportive marketing team in amazing offices in Surry Hills. You’ll report to our Marketing Manager-Retention in a role designed to assist in the management of health insurance products, create and maintain external communications and marketing activities to our existing members as part of our retention strategy. Your role will contribute to ensuring that all objectives of service, growth and retention are achieved or excelled.
What will I actually be doing?
You will be rolling up your sleeves to be the person responsible for the ongoing development, implementation and improvement of Teachers Health Fund’s retention portfolio in alignment with the overall marketing strategy. This includes but not limited to: assisting in the management of our existing and development of new health insurance products & pricing strategies, developing & managing loyalty, reward & recognition programs, up-sell & cross-sell campaigns to drive incremental revenue and retention. Managing specific tactical activities focusing on retention. Project managing production and distrubution of external marketing material for our existing member base and contributing to integrated campaigns for existing and prospective members. Conducting market, competitor and industry analysis to identify retention opportunities and respond to market changes.
How do I get this great opportunity?
Firstly by clearly demonstrating to us that you bring with you 7+ years relevant marketing experience including:
  • experience in assisting to manage and/or develop and price products eg: health insurance, general insurance, superannuation and/or other complex financial services products will be highly regarded
  • demonstrated retention marketing, loyalty marketing, up-sell/cross-sell direct marketing and campaign skills
  • excellent end-to-end communications and campaign management skills
  • developed writing and editing skills
  • excellent verbal and written presentation skills
  • insurance product knowledge – private health insurance and general insurance
  • experience in retail marketing
  • demonstrated project management skills
  • a relevant university qualification.

Your Rebate

All Australian residents, who are entitled to Medicare, are able to claim an income tested rebate on their private health insurance; would you like to apply your rebate?

For individuals earning between $88,001 - $102,000 (or $176,001 - $204,000 for families*).
*For families with children, the thresholds are increased by $1,500 for each child after the first.

How rebate tiers workX

Most Australians with private health insurance currently receive a rebate from the Australian Government to help cover the cost of their premiums. The private health insurance rebate is income tested. The table below details the different rebate amounts and Medicare Levy Surcharge levels.

The rebate applies to hospital, general treatment and ambulance policies. It does not apply to overseas visitors cover. The rebate levels applicable for 1 July 2013 to 30 June 2014 are:
